This week’s real Living Wage Foundation rate increase means the NHS, many local authorities across the UK and almost the entire care sector cannot be called Living Wage Employers.

Next week’s planned strike action by security staff at Leeds Bradford Airport has been suspended to give the union time to consult with members over an improved pay deal put forward by airport bosses today (18 August). 

Workers whose jobs have been put at risk by the possible closure of Doncaster Sheffield Airport will hold a rally tomorrow (Saturday 13 August), calling for state intervention to keep the airport open and save their jobs.

Security staff are angered as airport bosses delay pay talks, leaving them to struggle on minimum wage, says GMB Union.

Officers from GMB and other trade unions have delivered vehicles and medical equipment to Ukraine.
