GMB Yorkshire Ambulance Service (Y28) branch are delighted that Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) has been successful in securing a new five-year contract to continue to deliver non-emergency medical transport services in the East Riding of Yorkshire following a competitive tender process.
The GMB were informed that the process concluded in March 2017 and YAS has been selected to deliver all non-emergency medical transport services, which include core outpatient work, transport for priority patients including those attending renal and oncology appointments, and the discharge of patients from hospital who are registered to East Riding Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
The five-year contract will commence on 1 July 2017 and the GMB of course feel this is a fantastic boost for YAS and its staff. Congratulations and well done to everyone involved.
