A national meeting of representatives in January will decide union stance on the proposals before giving all members a vote on the offer in a ballot says GMB.
GMB, the union for local government workers, commented on the new pay offer tabled on 9th December 2015 at the National Joint Council for local government which negotiates pay on behalf of local authorities and schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland covering over 1 million employees.
Justin Bowden, GMB National Officer, said "GMB will be issuing full details of the offer to members. We will then seek initial feedback at a national meeting of representatives to be held on 7 January 2016. This meeting will decide the GMB stance on the proposals before giving all members a vote on the offer in a ballot."
