PETERLEE WATER WORKERS VOTE TO STRIKE AFTER MANAGEMENT 'DIRTY TACTICS'

One hundred percent of Premier Tech Aqua GMB members vote for industrial action.

Staff at a Peterlee water management company have voted to take industrial action following a campaign of 'dirty tactics' from management.

One hundred percent of GMB members voted to reject a pay offer that fails to meet the cost-of-living crisis.

Instead of negotiating seriously, Premier Tech now refuse to authorise holiday leave, piling additional pressure on staff.

Andrew Blunt, GMB Organiser said:

"Premier Tech have once again demonstrated that the workforce is at the bottom of their priority list.

"We urge management to stop these dirty tactics; stop playing games with workers hard earned holidays and get back to serious negotiations.

"GMB will not hesitate to escalate our action to get members the offer they deserve"
