DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
These leaflets tell you how to get help to escape violence and abuse, and keep safe. You can also use it to help a friend. Although this leaflet focuses on issues faced by black and minority ethnic women and children, it also contains information which can be used to help victims of domestic and sexual violence from any nationality or ethnic background.
This leaflet refers to victims/survivors of violence and abuse as female, and perpetrators as male for ease of reading and because it reflects the overwhelming majority of cases. However, this is not meant to imply that violence and abuse does not occur in same-sex relationships or by women to men.
