The Rugby League Players’ Association (RLPA), which is part of GMB, expressed disappointment to hear of the demise of League 13 as it leaves any remaining members of League 13 in a vulnerable position without support or representation from a professional body.

A social evening, sponsored by GMB, Britain’s General Union, was held at the Aakash Restaurant in Cleckheaton on Tuesday, 20^th October 2015 in aid of Batley Food Bank.

Please note the National Returning Officer has decided to extend the deadline for voting across the whole country by one week due to the delays in distributing the magazine/ballot papers.

A social evening, sponsored by B05, C41 and R50 Branches, has been organised for GMB members.

GMB is proud to be one of the sponsors for the Danny Kelly Memorial rugby tournament in memory of a 23 year old Haworth man who sadly died whilst on holiday.  The event will take place at Cougar Park in Keighley West Yorkshire from 11am till 6pm on the 18^th October 2015.  Entry is £5 and there will be a bar and a food stand.

Delegates heard stars from stage, screen and politics talk about their life experiences and celebrated inspirational women from across the region at the GMB Women’s Conference in Leeds.

On tax credit cuts from April 2016 for 2.62 million workers the minimum loss will £23.72 per week and the average loss will be £34 per week for 3.3 million working families says GMB.

GMB will be electing a new General Secretary and voting papers will be in all members' magazines that will reach their homes no later than 14th October 2015.

The region will be holding a Women’s Annual Conference to take place on Saturday, 3^rd October at The Met Hotel, Leeds, King Street, Leeds, LS1 2HQ.  Registration will be at 10.00am and the conference will start at 10.30am.

This is an historic moment in British politics and there is now a clear division between the parties so no one will be able to say that they are all the same says GMB
